Western Washington managed to dodge the bulk of the Heat Dome that is covering the Pacific Northwest, but not so for British Columbia (or Eastern Washington.)
The town of Ashcroft, B.C. reached 40.8 C Wednesday — 105 F — notching the hottest September temperature on record for all of Canada!
According to The Weather Network, the previous record had been 40.0 C (104 F) that was originally recorded in 1906 in Manitoba, then matched in 1940 in Saskatchewan, then matched again… on Tuesday in Lytton, B.C.
They’ll challenge the record again Thursday then finally back off a bit over the weekend but still looks relatively hot again at times next week.
