What a show! — And it may be up for an encore.
Multiple solar flares led to a surprise Tuesday evening. showing of the Northern Lights – a day ahead of predictions.
While sightings were reported as far south as the Mexican border, clouds made viewing a challenge in the Pacific Northwest.

But luckily some keen eyed photographers were ready when the show began earlier in the evening as some lingering breaks in the overcast were still visible and captured some amazing photos! They were kind enough to share with me here or on my Facebook page.
The main effects from the strongest solar flare hadn’t even arrived yet — that’s predicted for sometime later Wednesday and thus we could have a repeat performance of the lights Wednesday evening and night. Just, the clouds are up for a repeat performance too.
