Had it still been baseball season, you might have wondered if Cal Raleigh had hit a home run so high it fractured the sky.
Me and my daughter spotted these unique clouds as we were driving back through Snohomish County this week. I had never seen clouds like this spin such intricate tentacles as if they were cracks or maybe even like veins in the sky.
The clouds are a type of “cirrostratus” clouds — high level clouds made of mostly ice crystals. Light but slightly turbulent upper level winds shaped them into these unique tracks.

Great photography!
